The Assistant Production Supervisor is responsible for providing support to production to ensure that products are manufactured safely, efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong time management, project management, as well as team building characteristics.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years manufacturing or military supervisor
  • Must have a solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word,
    Excel) and ability to learn various PC-based production reporting
    systems applications.
  • Must be able and willing to work safely, and adhere to all
    safety rules and regulations, including wearing and using
    appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able and willing to work in a manufacturing
    plant environment, including extended periods of time in noisy,
    non-air conditioned or unheated areas.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
  • Knowledge of general safe work practices
  • Efficient use of Microsoft Office Product and computer based
    maintenance systems
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems
  • Working Knowledge of CAD/ Vault

Duties Include but are not limited to:
  • Trouble shoot problems mechanical and or functional to assist departments and if a reasonable solution cannot be achieved, execute a backup plan
  • Assist Quality personnel when necessary with issues related to product quality, batch reconciliation or issues.
  • Utilize ERP system for material planning and inventory control purposes.
  • Oversee quantity reports
  • Take engineering data from CAD/ Vault and feed ERP system.
  • Schedule Jobs on production line.
  • Enforce housekeeping and safety
  • Order non- inventory items used in production. 
  • Handle employee issues as they arise in a way that maintains harmony within and between departments
  • Supervise all Production Department Supervisors
  • Be involved in production planning and scheduling
  • Ensure due dates are hit
  • Ensure the production of quality products
High School or equivalent required, Associates Degree, 3 – 5 year of Management / supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Should have the ability to work at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks, work with interruptions, prioritize workload, and deal effectively with confidential information, understand and implement written and verbal instructions.  Must have the ability to be flexible and proactive; able to practice good prioritization; maximize efficiency; and have good organizational skills
